Lucian Anghel

Dr. Anghel majored in economics (Faculty of Economic Cybernetics, Statistics and Economic IT) at the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest. Following the completion of a Master’s degree in 1997, he received a Ph.D. from the same academic institution in 2002. Dr. Anghel also attended post graduate courses at Georgetown University, USA and an executive development program coordinated by HEC Montreal.
Working with the largest financial group in Romania for over 17 years, Dr Anghel is currently Chief Executive Office of BCR Pensii (pension fund subsidiary of BCR Group- since October 2012). Previously he was Chief Economist of BCR, Head of Strategy and Research Division, coordinating the strategic programmes of BCR Group. Also, for almost two years, he held the position of Deputy Executive Manager of the Treasury Division of the bank. He was a member of the Supervisory Board of Erste Asset Management and BCR Asset Management for more than 5 years. In 2008, he co-founded the Association of the Financial Banking Analysts in Romania and serves in the board as the first Chairman. He was appointed as Foreign Investors Council expert within the economic re-launch Programme: “Program for Economic Growth” and also served as external expert for the World Bank. In January 2012, Dr. Anghel has been elected by the shareholders as Chairman of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) Board.
He is an associate professor at the National School of Administration and Political Science of Bucharest. He co-writes professional financial books and publishes in professional journals and magazines, being quoted more than 2,000 times by local and international media. Ziarul Financiar, the most important local financial newspaper, nominated him among the “Top 500 Managers” while Business Magazine in its first edition nominated him among the “Top 100 Best Young Managers”.

Ivana gained wide professional experience working for leading Croatian companies and financial institutions starting her career in 1998 at Pliva where she served until 2003 as a Head of Capital Market Operations. Since 2003 till 2005 she worked at Lura as a Head of strategic financing project with EBRD and DEG and the assistant to CEO. In 2005 Ivana joined Société Générale – Splitska Banka as a Deputy Head of Corporate Department and a Head of Structured Finance Department. She continued her career in Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank taking the position of Executive Director responsible for financial markets, private banking, corporate finance, asset management and investment funds.
Since May 2010 Ivana is the President of the Management Board of Zagreb Stock Exchange. She was a speaker, lecturer and participant in numerous conferences and professional gatherings on the subject of banking, finance and capital markets.
Petr Koblic

Petr Koblic, a graduate of the University of Economics in Prague, began his career in banking in 1993 as a financial market dealer. In 1997, he was promoted to the position of deputy director of the Treasury Department. During 1997–1998, he worked at Patria Finance, where he was the Head of sales. In June 1998, he moved to CA IB Securities where he headed trading activities and served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Koblic was elected Chairman and CEO of Prague Stock Exchange in September 2004. In 2012 he was elected as a member of the Board of CEE Stock Exchange Group AG. He is a Chairman of the Board of Central Securities Depository. In February 2007, he was named Chairman of the Power Exchange Central Europe. He is also a member of the Board of Budapest Stock Exchange and President of the Supervisory Board of Ljubljana Stock Exchange. During his career Mr. Koblic was a member of the Board of the Czech Broker Dealer Association (AKAT) and he is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Czech Investor Compensation Fund, member of the Board of CMC, the Graduate School of Business and a member of the Board of Unicorn College. Paul Lee is Head of Investment Affairs, a new role combining leadership of the NAPF’s work on corporate governance and stewardship with leading our approach to policy issues in relation to investment. Paul spent more than a dozen years at Hermes, the fund manager owned by the BT Pension Scheme, taking a leading role in calling to account the boards of companies in which pension scheme clients invested, and also carrying out a more general policy role, ensuring that pension schemes had a voice in the key public policy debates around investment. He is a lawyer by training and spent nearly a decade as a journalist before joining Hermes. He is a member of the Audit and Assurance Council of the FRC, a public member of Network Rail and is one of the investor representatives on the Enhanced Disclosure Task Force, the private sector body fostered by the Financial Stability Board to develop and promote best practice risk reporting by the world’s leading banks.

Pierre started his career in 1998 at Croatian National Bank as USD fixed income portfolio manager and continued at Zagrebacka banka (UniCredit Group) as a Head of the Asset Management Department. In 2002 he became a President of the Management Board of ZB Invest mutual funds management company (Zagrebacka banka Group, UniCredit Group). In 2011 Pierre was appointed President of the Board of the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency and also represents Croatia in ESMA (European Securities and markets Authority), EIOPA (European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority) and ESRB (European Systemic Risk Board).
He was also President of the Croatian Association of Mutual Funds Management Companies, Vice-president of the Croatian Association of Mutual Funds Management Companies and a member of the Working Group for the Chapter Financial services within the negotiations process for the accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union as well as a member of various working groups related to the adoption of capital markets and investment fund regulation in line with EU Directives.

Mirando Mrsic, MD, PhD, was born on 14th October 1959 in Split. He finished elementary school and high school in Makarska. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Zagreb in 1984. He received his MA in 1989 and a PhD in 2000. From 1993 until leaving for the post of Minister, he worked in the Unit for bone marrow transplantation in the Department of Haematology of the Clinical Hospital Centre in Zagreb. From April 2000 until May 2001 and from November 2001 until May 2004 he was the Member of the Board of Clinical Hospital Centre in Zagreb as the Assistant Director for Professional Medical Affairs. He was elected to the academic title of docent in the Department of Internal Medicine of the University of Zagreb on 27th April 2004.
Mr. Mrsic, MD, PhD, was elected as Minister of Labour and Pension System in the Croatian Government chaired by Zoran Milanovic on 23 December 2011. He is a member of the Croatian Social Democratic Party. He was a member of the Zagreb City Assembly in two mandates, from 2005 until 2011, and president of the Assembly Committee on Health. In 2007 he was elected to the Croatian Parliament on the list of Social Democratic Party, where he was a member of the Committee on Health and Social Protection and the Committee on Computerization and Media.
Since 2009 he is the Head of the Croatian register of bone marrow donors and is one of the founders and the medical director of the Foundation “Ana Rukavina”. He is the founder and a member of the Croatian Association of leukaemia and lymphoma and is a member of the Central Committee of the Croatian Association of patients suffering from rare diseases. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the European Association for Rare Diseases (EURORDIS). He is also a member of the Croatian Medical Association and Croatian Medical Chamber.
Dinko Novoselec

He was born in Bjelovar in 1968, obtained a BA in mathematics at College for natural science and Mathematics in Zagreb. In 1997 he started working for Hrvatska Narodna Banka on assignments related to managing foreign currency reserves. At the end of 1998 he moves to Zagrebacka banka to the position of Leader of analytical department, and mid-way through 2000 he moves to ZB Invest, an association for managing investment funds. He is there in the capacity of Management member. In September 2001 he joined the Allianz ZB Company for managing the AZ obligatory pension fund and in April 2003 was promoted to the position of Managing director of the Allianz ZB.
In 2000 he obtained the title of CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) programme organised by the American association of investment professionals – ICFA.

Luis Oganes is the Global Head of Emerging Markets Research, where he joined in 1997. He manages the teams of economists and strategists in charge of analyzing economic and political dynamics and of identifying investment opportunities in sovereign debt, currencies and local bond markets in Emerging Asia, EMEA EM and Latin America. He also drives the EM flagship publications. On several occasions, he has left his country coverage duties temporarily to participate in advisory projects with some governments and quasi-sovereign entities in Latin America, Middle East and Asia. Petra Posedel received her Ph.D. in Statistics at the Luigi Bocconi University, Institute of Quantitative Methods, Milan, Italy. She received her master’s degree in Natural Sciences from the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb. At ZSEM she works as a professor at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics where she teaches Introduction to Financial Econometrics, Applied Econometrics and Quantitative Methods for Managers. Before joining ZSEM, she worked as a senior assistant in Mathematics and Econometrics at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb. Petra Posedel won the ‘Mijo Mirkovic’ prize for a scientific contribution from the same faculty in 2006. She is also Assistant Professor in Financial Mathematics on the graduate programme of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb.

Zdeslav Šantić

He began his career as an economic analyst at the Prime Minister’s Office, and later on joined the Central State Administrative Office for the Development Strategy.
He also served as a Director of Economic Research for Raiffeisenbank Austria. Since 2009 Zdeslav is Chief Economist of Société Générale – Splitska banka. He is mostly focused on transition economies, foreign direct investment, sectoral analysis and banking system.
Zdeslav also participated as a consultant in several major projects such as CARDS project related to removal of administrative barriers and FDI encouragement, as well as in a few IPO’s in the domestic market.
Neven Vidaković

Neven Vidaković was born in 1980 in Slavonski Brod, Croatia. After three years of high school in Slavonski Brod, in 1998 he finished highs school in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1999 and has enrolled in University of Michigan. In 2003 he has obtained a degree in economics and financial mathematics. After graduation Neven works first as a commodities broker and then as a commodities trader first in Cleveland and then in Chicago. He has passed FINRA series 3 and 7 exams.
In 2005 Neven has returned to Croatia and started working in PBZ in Strategic ALM office. The primary task of the ALM office was to control the term, pricing and currency structure of the bank’s balance sheet. In 2009 Neven has moved to Milan where he works for the Intesa Sanpaolo, principal owner of PBZ, as a risk and liquidity specialist with the main task of controlling market and liquidity risk in subsidiaries of Intesa Sanpaolo. After a three year stint in Milan, Neven returns to Zagreb and continues working in PBZ. Staring from September 2013 Neven has started working at Effectus University College For Finance and Law as a vice dean in charge of development, quality, scientific and professional research, where he currently teaches courses relation to financial markets, financial instruments and banking.
In 2007 Neven has obtained his professional masters, in 2008 his scientific masters in economics from University of Ljubljana and PHD in economics in 2013 from University of Maribor with the topic Exchange rate regime and behavior of economic participants.
The primary fields of research are monetary policy, exchange rates, banking. Neven has published several original scientific articles and Banking, with Miroslav Gregurek (2nd edition), Exchange rate regimes: choices and consequences and Capital markets: principles and practice with Ivo Andrijanić.
Boris Vujčić

Boris Vujčić, PhD, was born in Zagreb on June 2, 1964. He graduated in 1988 and received his doctor’s degree in 1996, both from the Zagreb Faculty of Economics. He worked as assistant lecturer at the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb from 1989 to 1997 when he was appointed assistant professor. As a Fulbright fellow he attended doctoral study at the Department of Economics, Michigan State University, USA, in the period between 1994 to 1995. From December 1996 till his appointment as Deputy Governor of the CNB he worked as Director of the CNB Research Department. Boris Vujčić was appointed Deputy Governor of the Croatian National Bank on July 15, 2000 pursuant to the decision of the Croatian Parliament. On July 13, 2006 the Croatian Parliament reappointed Deputy Governor Vujčić for a second six-year term of office. Since 2005 Mr Vujčić was also a Deputy Chief Negotiator in Republic of Croatia’s negotiations with the European Union.
Since 2003 Mr Vujčić is professor at the Zagreb Faculty of Economics. At the Zagreb Faculty of Science he lectures as visiting professor since 2004. Mr Vujčić’s fields of expertise and teaching include monetary analysis, labor economics and international finance. He is the author of numerous scholarly papers on economic issues.
Pursuant to the decision of the Croatian Parliament, Mr Vujčić assumed office as Governor of the Croatian National Bank on July 8, 2012.
Manda Zulić

Mandica Zulić, president of the Raiffeisen Pension Association for the Management of Voluntary Retirement Funds (RDMD), has been employed in the Raiffeisen Group since 1999. Until March 2004 she was president of the board of Raiffeisen Home Savings Bank (RSŠ). With her knowledge, experience, and deep knowledge of the operations of the Raiffeisen Group, she provided major support to RDMD, where she began to work in 2004, and where she has been president since 2007. She graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Trade in Zagreb. She spent a large part of her career at Zagrebračka Banka. She continually honed her skills and advanced to the position of director of marketing, economics and sales, and executive director of the sector for management of the business network. Afterwards, she became a member of the board of First Home Savings Bank. She holds a license for the management of pension funds and the management of retirement insurance associations.
