After graduating from the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Economics (BSc - Economics & Accounting) and getting a masters degree from the University of Southampton, School of Management (MSc with distinction - Accounting & Finance), Andrej began his career in InterCapital Securities - the largest non banking securities firm in Croatia with offices in Zagreb and Belgrade and strong regional presence.

He started as an Analyst in the Investment Banking, eventually progressing through Senior Analyst positions and Associate position to the current position of Project Manager.

Andrej possess extensive experience in the fields of corporate finance & capital markets (valuation and financial modelling, M&A, equity and debt raising, corporate restructurings, strategic management accounting) and has worked on a number of large investment projects, including three international IPO’s.

He is a two time recipient of Dean's Award for outstanding academic achievement and is a former part time teaching assistant on the corporate finance course at the University of Zagreb. In his free time Andrej enjoys squash and skiing.

Ivana Gazic

Graduated in Finance from the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Zagreb and gained the Executive MBA degree from the International Executive Development Center Bled (Slovenia) and is also a certified investment advisor.

Ivana gained wide professional experience working for leading Croatian companies and financial institutions starting her career in 1998 at Pliva where she served until 2003 as a Head of Capital Market Operations. Since 2003 till 2005 she worked at Lura as a Head of strategic financing project with EBRD and DEG and the assistant to CEO. In 2005 Ivana joined Société Générale - Splitska Banka as a Deputy Head of Corporate Department and a Head of Structured Finance Department. She continued her career in Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank taking the position of Executive Director responsible for financial markets, private banking, corporate finance, asset management and investment funds.

Since May 2010 Ivana is the President of the Management Board of Zagreb Stock Exchange. She was a speaker, lecturer and participant in numerous conferences and professional gatherings on the subject of banking, finance and capital markets.

Krešimir Gjenero, MSc Finance (Cass), is CEO of Allianz ZB d.o.o. Voluntary Pension Fund Management Company. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb at the Department of Finance. He completed postgraduate studies in finance at the Cass Business School, City University London in 2001.

He began his business career at Zagrebačka bank in 1996, where he completed EDUKA, a one-year specialist programme. After completing the program, he moved to the International Division to the position of Head of Embassy Banking. In 1999 he became Head of Financial Institutions Research in the Capital Market Division.

After completing his postgraduate studies, he continued his career at Allianz ZB as head of the voluntary pension saving project to soon become CEO of the company. The company manages the best performing voluntary pension funds on the market, with a total market share of 50%.

He has participated in numerous seminars in Croatia and abroad, and received additional training at Riggs Bank, Washington and Citibank, New York. In September 2002, he fulfilled the conditions for becoming a licensed pension fund manager. Since 2011 he has been a member of the Supervisory Board of the Port of Ploče.

Mag. Željka Grabovičkić, CPM is a Senior Sales Associate in Austria and Eastern Europe for Fidelity, working in the bank and institutional client sector. Fidelity Worldwide Investment is one of the leading global asset managers with US$ 300 bn under management and administration for European and Asian clients. Prior to joining Fidelity she was responsible for institutional clients at Allianz Global Investors between 2007 - 2012.

Željka studied German and Literature Studies and Slavic Studies in Klagenfurt, Austria and holds a CPM from the Bank Akademie Wien.

Maria Gratsova

Maria Gratsova is Citi’s Frontier Markets Strategist. Starting with the firm in 2007, Maria was one of the primary drivers in establishing and building up Citi’s Frontier Markets capabilities over this period.

She publishes regular Strategy commentary on Frontier Markets and maintains ties with investors, corporate and local brokers across this diverse group of relatively new equity markets. In addition to Frontier Markets, she has also covered CEEMEA Strategy and has been heavily involved in marketing across Emerging Markets. Maria has been recognized in both the Institutional Investor and Extel surveys across the Frontier Markets, CEEMEA, Emerging Europe, Southern Sub-Saharan Africa and MENA Equity Strategy categories in 2012-13.

Her prior experience includes research on Africa and Eastern Europe/ CIS at various institutions, including the BBC World Service Trust. Maria holds a degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics. She is a native Russian speaker and is fluent in English, French and Finnish.

Petr Grishin

Petr Grishin is a head of macroeconomic research at VTB Capital and Chief Economist for Eastern Europe. His main focus is to add new regions to VTB Capital’s coverage, namely South East Europe and the Baltics, with an emphasis on sovereign credit.

Previously, Petr was a senior credit analyst for CIS public finance (Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan) and hydrocarbons & petrochemicals. In 2008-2011, Petr was ranked #1 in the Institutional Investor’s All-Russia Corporate Debt nomination. Before joining VTB Capital in September 2010, Petr was a credit analyst and the head of credit research at Renaissance Capital, covering a wide spectrum of industries from metals and mining to retail. Prior to that, Petr led municipal bond research at Rosbank (and, before its merger with Rosbank, MFK Bank). His group was named ‘Best Municipal Bond Research’ team by CBonds agency in 2004.

Petr has been a CFA charterholder since 2004. He earned a cum laude bachelor’s degree in Economics specializing in public finance from Lomonosov Moscow State University and a cum laude MA degree in Economics from the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary, with a focus in international finance.

Julie Hudson, CFA, is a Managing Director of UBS, where she heads up (having also founded) the Global ESG & Sustainability team in Equity Research. The team launched key publications on “quantifying the unquantifiable” in 2005, water in 2006, climate change in 2007, corporate governance in 2008, ESG (environmental social and governance) 'integration' in 2010-2012 and Integrated Reporting in 2012.

External publications include the following: co-authored with Paul Donovan, Food Policy and the Environmental Credit Crunch, From Soup to Nuts (Routledge, forthcoming, October 2013) and From Red to Green? - How the Financial Credit Crunch Could bankrupt the Environment (Earthscan, 2011), The Social Responsibility of the Investment Profession, Research Foundation of CFA Institute, August 2006.

She is currently a member-nominated Trustee Director of the UBS UK Pension Fund and a Visiting Business Fellow with the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment, Oxford University.

Vedrana Jelušić Kašić

Vedrana Jelušić Kašić took over the position of the EBRD Director for Croatia on 1 June 2013.

In her previous role of EBRD Senior Banker, Vedrana Jelušić Kašić was responsible for the agribusiness sector development in the region of south-east Europe. She took that position at EBRD Zagreb Office in 2005, coming from EBRD London Headquarters. She has defined and managed investments in the area of food, drinks, retail and packaging.

She has successfully concluded more than 40 projects worth over EUR 1 billion throughout 14 countries in south-east Europe, ZND and Russia. Jelušić Kašić lead projects with the key regional and multinational companies, including Agrokor, Dukat, American Bunge, Vetropack, French Pernod Ricard, Austrian Spar, Serbian MK Grupa. She has furthermore actively participated in introduction of warehouse receipts financing in the region.

She is a member of the Supervisory Board of Croatian Atlantic Grupa, as well as of Victoria Grupa, the biggest agribusiness concern in Serbia. She is a former member of the Supervisory Board of Tikveš, the leading wine producing company in Macedonia and of VF Komerc, at the time retail chain in Bosnia and Hercegovina. She started her carrier at EBRD in January 1998 as Analyst for Ukraine, Romania, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belarus and Moldova.

Rich experiences were gained at renowned organisations such as Raiffeisen bank Austria d.d. Zagreb, Merrill Lynch Private Client Group in Boston, Croatian National Bank and the Central Securities Depository Agency Monte Titoli S.p.A. in Milan. She holds a Master’s Degree in International Finances from the Brandeis University in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, and she graduated at the Faculty of Economy in Zagreb. She twice won Rector’s Award of the Zagreb University in the field of economy. In Vienna she attended and successfully accomplished specialised courses in international finances at the faculty of Economy and the Economy Institute.

She is an active member of the business society and a member of the Honorary Committee of Hrabri telefon. She is a co-author of the book on international accounting and the author of numerous specialized articles in national business publications. In July 2013 Vedrana has acquired the Financial Times Non Executive Director Diploma.

Dubravko Lakos-Bujas joined the J.P. Morgan Quantitative Strategy Team in June 2010 as a senior analyst focusing on the U.S. markets.

Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, he worked for 6 years at Deutsche Bank Asset Management within the Quantitative Strategies Group. There he worked in various investment roles, predominantly as a quantitative research analyst, on their Global Macro, Quantitative Equity and Strategic Asset Allocation strategies, and was a member of their Investment Oversight Committee.

Dubravko holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics/Finance/Mathematics from Wittenberg University; he is an active member of the university's Endowment Fund Investment Committee.

Pierre Matek

Graduated in Finance from the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Zagreb and gained the CFA and CIPM degree (CFA Institute, USA), as well as DESS ‘International Management – Finance’ at Louis Pasteur University at Strasbourg, France (postgraduate study in international finance and financial markets, master degree thesis in foreign exchange risk management). He also holds an investment advisor license (Croatian SEC) and Pension fund's management license.

Pierre started his career in 1998 at Croatian National Bank as USD fixed income portfolio manager and continued at Zagrebacka banka (UniCredit Group) as a Head of the Asset Management Department. In 2002 he became a President of the Management Board of ZB Invest mutual funds management company (Zagrebacka banka Group, UniCredit Group). In 2011 Pierre was appointed President of the Board of the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency and also represents Croatia in ESMA (European Securities and markets Authority), EIOPA (European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority) and ESRB (European Systemic Risk Board).

He was also President of the Croatian Association of Mutual Funds Management Companies, Vice-president of the Croatian Association of Mutual Funds Management Companies and a member of the Working Group for the Chapter Financial services within the negotiations process for the accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union as well as a member of various working groups related to the adoption of capital markets and investment fund regulation in line with EU Directives.

Born in Vienna in 1973, he graduated from Vienna Economic University in 1997. From 1997 to 2001 he worked in the CEE Credit Risk department of Raiffeisen Zentral Bank (RZB).

He joined Raiffeisen Centrobank in 2001 as an analyst, then covering various Austrian and East European equities. At the same time he was responsible for the sector “Banks and Insurers”.

Early 2012 Stefan Maxian was appointed chief analyst of Raiffeisen Centrobank. Furthermore he is holding the position of board member of ÖVFA (Austrian Association for Finanacial Analysis and Asse Management) and is also a member of the Austrian Financial Reporting and Auditing Committee – AFRAC.

Mario Radaković graduated from the Faculty of Science (Department of Mathematics), University of Zagreb. In 2000, he started his professional career as a financial analyst with Accenture in the Federal Republic of Germany. In 2002, he got employed as analyst with PBZ Croatia Osiguranje d.d. mandatory pension company, where he obtained the position of fund manager in 2004, to be appointed member of the Management Board in 2007. At the beginning of 2012, Mr Radaković was appointed member of the Board of Hanfa.

He is mostly focused on transition economies, foreign direct investment, sectoral analysis and banking system. Zdeslav also participated as a consultant in several major projects such as CARDS project related to removal of administrative barriers and FDI encouragement, as well as in a few IPO’s in the domestic market.

She has worked as a journalist and editor in Banka, the leading Croatian business magazine, since 2001. She also worked as a deputy editor-in-chief of Eukonomist (2005-2009), a monthly published jointly by Banka and the Croatian Employers' Association.

During her career as a journalist, she has published analytical articles about a diverse range of current topics such as public policies, notably fiscal, social and economic policies, privatisation and restructuring, development and technological development issues etc.

She has organized and hosted the following round tables and public discussions: Financial industry and corporate restructuring (2013), Health system analysis (2012), and Pension system analysis (2011).

She has been a professional journalist since 1989.
