Uto Baader Baader Bank AG, Founder & Consultant Uto Baader (born 1944) was the founder and Chairman of Baader Bank AG’s Executive Board until July 2015 and head of the organization for a total of 32 years. In 1983 Uto Baader became an authorised stockbroker on the Bavarian Stock Exchange in Munich, where he began trading in international equities. Before starting his career as a stockbroker, he was head of the International Equities Trading section at Bayerische Landesbank in Munich, where he worked for 13 years. Four years later, following his initial success in Munich, he was also authorised to trade on the Baden-Württemberg Stock Exchange in Stuttgart. Uto Baader broadened the scope of his business activities in 1993, working on the flotation of a software firm. This later led to the creation of a separate division specialising in support for corporate actions such as IPOs, capital increases and takeover bids. His work as a broker gained a broader institutional footing in 1996 when Uto Baader founded Baader Wertpapier GmbH. At the same time, he acquired a majority stake in the listed company Ballmaier & Schultz Wertpapier AG in Frankfurt, joining its Executive Board. Two years later he merged the two firms, creating Baader Wertpapierhandelsbank AG and taking over the reins of the new company. After receiving a full banking licence from the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority in July 2008, the company became Baader Bank AG, and Uto Baader became Chairman of its Executive Board. |

Silvano Hrelja Predsjednik HSU-a i saborski zastupnik Rođen sam 14. ožujka 1958. u Hreljinima, općini Žminj. Godine 1976. završio sam Srednju elektrotehničku školu i zaposlio se u poduzeću Elektromehanika koje će se kasnije pripojiti pulskom Uljaniku. Kao stipendist Uljanika, 1988. završavam Višu tehničku školu za sigurnost pri radu i zaštitu od požara u Zagrebu te time stječem zvanje inženjera sigurnosti. Po završetku školovanja zaposlio sam se u Uljaniku - Pula kao inženjer sigurnosti i zaštite na radu. Od 1981. godine bavim se društvenim radom, prvo kao predsjednik Zbora radnika u Uljaniku, a zatim od 1990. kao povjerenik Sindikata metalaca Hrvatske koji je u tom trenutku imao više od pet tisuća članova. Godine 1994. izabran sam za regionalnog povjerenika Sindikata metalaca, a dvije godine nakon toga i za županijskog povjerenika Saveza samostalnih sindikata Hrvatske za Istarsku županiju. U razdoblju od 1994. do 2003. aktivno se i profesionalno bavim sindikalnim radom što uključuje i borbu za umirovljenička prava. Godine 2003. na prijedlog SUH-a kao nestranački kandidat na listi Hrvatske stranke umirovljenika izabran sam u Hrvatski sabor. Učlanjujem se u HSU gdje postajem član Predsjedništva te predsjednik Županijske organizacije HSU-a Istarske županije. Na parlamentarnim izborima 2007. ponovno sam izabran u Sabor, a od 14. ožujka 2008. sam predsjednik HSU-a i saborski zastupnik. |

Dr. Paul Merdzo Managing Director, Supernova Group Paul Merdzo is Managing Director of Supernova Group, an Austrian based real estate developer and investor. The group has developed more than 40 projects in Austria, Slovenia and Croatia and is also active in Slovakia, Serbia, Romania and Germany. With 15 shopping centers and retail parks throughout Croatia (thereof on in development) Supernova is the market leader in the retail sector. Michael Stirling Stirling Infrastructure Michael Stirling’s career has included working in investment banking, corporate finance, and law. Michael advises on debt and equity capital raises for the financing of infrastructure projects. He advises clients on international M&A infrastructure and energy market transactions. Michael was elected and served for a number of years on the Institute of Directors’ ‘Economics and Taxation Committee’, which acts on behalf of directors to make policy recommendations to the UK Government, Treasury, and European Union. Michael is a regular speaker at leading international infrastructure, energy, and finance conferences. He is regularly invited to lecture at a number of universities, providing commercial insight on MBA programs on how to successfully identify, finance and close market transactions. Michael’s opinions are regularly published in the business press. His comments and market analysis have featured in The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, The Economist and other business journals. In addition to working in the finance sector, he has also been retained by a number of Champions League football clubs to advise them on raising capital. |

Velimir Šonje Arhivanalitika, direktor Velimir Šonje konzultant je, vlasnik i direktor savjetničke tvrtke Arhivanalitika, koja u Hrvatskoj posluje od 2003. godine, a od 2017. godine pokreće i uređuje portal Ekonomski lab . Prije karijere u vlastitoj tvrtci radio je kao istraživač na Ekonomskom institutu u Zagrebu od 1990. do 1995. godine, direktor Direkcije za istraživanja i izvršni direktor Sektora za istraživanja i statistiku Hrvatske narodne banke od 1995. do 2000. godine, te kao član uprave Raiffeisenbank Austrija d.d. Zagreb od 2000. do 2003. godine. Godine 2008. bio je i predsjednik uprave te suvlasnik društva za upravljanje fondovima ICF Invest. Bio je dugogodišnji predavač na Zagrebačkoj školi ekonomije i menadžmenta. Osim za klijente iz Hrvatske, kao konzultant je radio za klijente iz SAD-a i Velike Britanije, te za međunarodne financijske institucije poput Svjetske banke i Međunarodnog monetarnog fonda. Savjetuje o temama iz područja makroekonomije, bankarstva, financijskog tržišta i razvoja te financijske regulacije. Domaćoj javnosti je poznat i kao jedan od autora Antiinflacijskog programa 1993. godine. Napisao je oko osamdeset znanstvenih i stručnih članaka objavljenih u časopisima i zbornicima s konferencija, autor je ili koautor u dvadesetak knjiga i poglavlja u knjigama, od kojih je desetak objavljeno u inozemstvu. Dubravko Štimac PBZ Croatia Osiguranje Diplomirao, magistrirao i doktorirao na Ekonomskom fakultetu u Zagrebu. Od 1994. radi u sustavu Privredne banke Zagreb d.d. Ivana Vukorepa Izv. prof. dr. sc. Vukorepa, University of Zagreb, Faculty of Law Ivana Vukorepa is associate professor of labour and social security law at the University of Zagreb. She has completed her LL.B. studies at the University of Zagreb in 1999, while LL.M. at the College of Europe in Brugge in 2001. In 2001 she did the Croatian Barr exam. From 2007 to 2008 she was Fulbright Visiting Researcher at the Georgetown University Law Center. In 2011 she earned her doctoral degree at the University of Zagreb (dissertation titled “Funded pension systems as factors of social security”). In the negotiations for the accession of Croatia to the EU she was Head of the Working group for negotiating chapter “Freedom of movement for workers”. She has been actively participating in national and international conferences and seminars, as well as scientific research in the field of labor and social security law as well as free movement of workers. In social security law she has a particular interest in pensions. She has been the author and co-author of scientific articles and books, and is member of several editorial boards of scientific journals and professional associations. She collaborates as a professional advisor and collaborator on several research projects, as well as to the European independent experts' networks such as: ESPN (from 2014 to 2018) and FreSsco (that in 2018 became MoveS). |

Boris Vujčić Governor of the Croatian National Bank Boris Vujčić holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Zagreb. He has also received diplomas in Economics from the Montpellier University (France) and was a pre-doctoral PhD Fulbright student at the Michigan State University. He joined the Croatian National Bank in 1997 and was Director of the Research Department for three years before becoming Deputy Governor in 2000, a position to which he was re-appointed in 2006. In July 2012, Mr. Vujcic became Governor of the Croatian National Bank for a six-year term of office and was re-appointed for another six-year term of office in July 2018. Mr Vujčić has been a Deputy Chief Negotiator in Republic of Croatia’s negotiations with the European Union 2005-2012. He was also a member of the Global Development Network (GDN) Board in the same period, 2005-2012. He is also a Member of the Steering Committee of the ESRB, since 2016, and a Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Vienna Initiative, since 2016. Mr. Vujčić’s fields of expertise are macro and monetary economics, international finance and labor economics. |

Ante Žigman President of the Board of the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Authority (HANFA) Mr. Ante Žigman, PhD, is the President of the Board of the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency (HANFA) whose scope of competence includes a wide range of financial non-banking services, from regulation and supervision of the capital market, through insurance to investment and pension funds. He is a member of the Mediation Panel of the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) and a member of the Executive Committee of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) as a representative of the CEET region (Central and Eastern Europe and Transcaucasia). He actively participates in the work of these international bodies. Prior to his appointment as the Head of HANFA, he held a number of important functions, some of them being: Assistant Minister of Finance for Macroeconomic Analysis and Planning, followed by Secretary of State at the Ministry of Finance. He has also served as the vice president of the Committee for Fiscal Policy of the Croatian Parliament, and member of the Economic and Financial Committee's Sub-Committee on EU Sovereign Debt Markets (ESDM).In the banking sector, he was a Board Member of the Partner Bank, as well the Head of Macroeconomic and Financial Research Division and the Chief Economist at the Raiffeisen Bank in Croatia. He has spent a significant part of his career at the Croatian National Bank where he worked in the Office of the Governor until being appointed to the current position. He has written numerous scientific and expert papers in the field of fiscal policy and finance and is an active lecturer in the area of economics and finance. |
